Our Fleet
The Fidelity BH92
The Fidelity was originally built as the Star Award BF236 in 1975 at Macduff shipyard for White fish. Whilst in action in 1980 a major fire broke out and the vessel was a total loss from the insurance company. Macduff shipyard took the vessel and restored her to the vessel she is today. She is 17 metres long and a twin rig.
Steven and David Handyside took ownership of the Fidelity around 1993 from Malaig and brought her to Amble before selling her back to Malaig around 1998.
Stuart Handyside bought and brought her back to Amble in 2005. He skippers the vessel along with his son Adam and their crew, Angelito and Maty.
The Nimrod BH227
The Nimrod was built at Arbroath in 1989 for Wilf Cook where she spent her time at Blyth until Steven and David Handyside bought her in 2000. The Nimrod was the last boat to be built there. She was built as a single net trawler and 16.5 metres in length. When the Handyside brothers bought her they converted her to a twinrig prawn trawler and to seinet. She is the last seinet vessel on the east coast of England.  She is skippered by David Handyside along with his crew, Julius, Joey, Odo and Mark.
The Osprey bh500
The Osprey BF500 was built at Macduff shipyard in 1982 for pair trawling. She is 18 metres long and changed her name to Ocean Trust when she was sold. Steven and David Handyside bought in 2017 from Malaig and changed her name back to Osprey. She is now a twin rig trawler mainly fishing prawns. She is skippered by Steven Handyside along with his son Eddie and crew Teofilo and Rosendo.
The Ellen Mac LH272
The Ellen Mac was built in 1991 at Barrow. She was named after the world famous Ellen MacArthur. She is 12 metres in length and was built for Beam trawling before later being converted to twin rigging. The Handyside brothers bought her in 2023 from Eyemouth where she had been skippered by ‘Jockey’ who has since retired from sea. The vessel is skippered by Paul and Micheal Armstrong and heads out to sea for Fish and Prawns.
